Ruth McCommon, a nurse and member of a church in the community, wanted to make a difference in the lives of residents who had no insurance. She brought together a team comprising of a pastor, a nurse, an administrator, a pharmacist, a lawyer, a CPA, and a church, and opened the doors of the Healing Bridge Clinic on September 24th, 2009.
